My favourite character is Ulrich because he’s delicious Yumi, because she’s AWESOME. She’s true to her heritage while still integrating with the culture at Kadic. She respects her family and cares for them, but does what she has to do when her friends (or, you know, the freaking world) is in danger. She likes sparring and sports, studies hard in school, but still socializes and seems to have great emotional health. She has feelings for Ulrich, and is reluctant to act on them, but she isn’t embarrassed to be seen with him because of the age (and height) difference.
Over all, she’s friendly, intelligent, and resourceful. Yumi kicks ass, basically.
